Fort Bragg

If you haven't noticed our favorite vacation spot is the beach, especially in Fort Bragg. We were able to take our one and only vacation in 2010 to fort bragg for 2 days. Of corse our main stopping place is glass beach were we of corse read our newest book and pick thru all the old blue, green, and brown glass washed up on shore.

Soccer Season

We had an amazing summer full of soccer games. Kate was able to play 3 games the whole season due to the fact that she hurt her knee and was out for 6 weeks and then ended up with Mono and slept thru the rest of the games. I was still her assistant coach and our team did an amazing job. This was Kates last year in rec ball, but has big plans to refree to make some money.

Olivia was played with all her heart, she loved every min of it especially the half time and after game snacks. Her team was the Eagles which is the same as our High School. Her coach same taught them all the fight song and they sung it as their cheer. It was very cool.

4th of July

We kept 4th of July pretty simple. We went to Bob's brother Tim's new home. We ate, swam, ate, hot tub sat, ate, and then enjoyed the hour long multi firework show in the street. Had a great time with all the cousins.

The Summer of Work!!!!!

OK, so when we were kids on the first day of school usually the teacher asked you to write a paper of what you did during the summer. So what did we do???? We worked, it was like a scene from Snow White. With the dwarfs coming out of the mine, well I don't think we ever left it from May to Sept. Yes I am very grateful of the opportunity that we had to work, but our poor boat only got 2 trips out on the lake this summer.

Just a little about Easter 2010

We had another busy year of 2010. I missed the most part of the beginning of the year by losing all of our amazing Easter photos. I have no idea were my camera card went so there are no pic's. Maybe I can steal some from a family member. But for now we had a great day at the Rutledge Grandparents with all the cousins. The kids did a huge Easter egg hut as usual and we of coarse had tons of food and candy. This year each family was in charge of some kind of activity. We were in charge of the gunny sack races. But we had everything from eggs being carried on a spoon, throwing bean bags, ect. We did come home with a fish in a glass jar thanks!!!!

Wow it's been along time.

I really can't believe it's been since March since my last blog. Well I guess I really need to catch up on my blogging. So I have decided to start from March and go forward that way ya all know what happened in 2010. Here we go!!!

HOPE

Today at church there was a talk that was about Hope. It really hit home for me, with all of the trials that our family has gone thru this year with my health and our business. This talk really made me reflect on this last year and how we have been able to survive.

The principle of hope extends into the eternities, but it also can sustain us through the everyday challenges of life. "Happy is he," said the Psalmist, "that hath the God of Jacob for his help, whose hope is in the Lord his God" (Psalm 146:5). With hope, we can find joy in life. We can "have patience, and bear with . . . afflictions, with a firm hope that ye shall one day rest from all your afflictions" (Alma 34:41). We can "press forward with a steadfastness in Christ, having a perfect brightness of hope, and a love of God and of all men. Wherefore, if ye shall press forward, feasting upon the word of Christ, and endure to the end, behold, thus saith the Father: Ye shall have eternal life" (2 Nephi 31:20).

As I went thru my double Mastectomy, the thing that got me thru it was Hope and of course my family. Last month I had an emergency surgery that took out my expander's because some of the permanent sutures had come loose and were ripping thru the transplant tissue and my skin. So with that they went ahead and put in my implants. I have been very blessed to have a surgeon that knows what he is doing and a very supportive husband who was able to give me a priesthood blessing. It was one of the most beautiful blessings I have ever received.

I am so grateful for the spirit of hope and the fact that we can rely on the lord to receive the blessings that come with it. To my 3 beautiful daughters my hope for you is to grow into strong women like the women that came before you. I look forward to a lifetime of HOPE.
